Yes! an entire loop all the way around a 4x map, with mostly double track mainline with a bit of single track. Crossing Guards at all grade crossings, and I think 4 branch lines off of the main right now? Multiple different industries including steel recycling, scrap yard, oil rigs and oil refinerys, and a brand new steel and lumber warehouse taht I have been working on with Eastern Ontario Edits! I dont have an ETA on it yet, I still have some stuff to do and I am working on this warehouse, overhead crane, and coil car at the moment. I promise the wait will be worth it tho! glad you are enjoying them so much!
be awesome to see something like that for a 16x map, I’m currently building a full loop on my ND Hastings map, but I’m running into the issue of figuring out hot to keep the tracks the same length around the curves at the edges of the map.
Sorry for the delayed response as I have been sick, but it sounds like you have the mod that opens gates automatically, Animated Object Extend? this mod will cause issues with my mods, and cause the switches to change while driving thru. You will have to remove that mod if youd like the switches to function properly
Oh interesting.. I wonder if that mod is built into the map.. I would try starting a new save game on that map with just the placeable track and the locomotives enabled and see if it still has issues?
yes the Barn is part of the map and I laid track around the map trains run on it just fine,it takes around 45 min to run around It's just the switch thing I hope we can fix it for this is a great map for your Mod here a link to just a video of it I stop working on it till the switches work
I’m having a hard time using 5°, 10°, 20°, and 30° turns. I can’t get them to link into each other to make a turn. Any tips or tricks to solve this? I’m currently laying rail across my entire map and trying to link it into a giant loop.
I got it to work! thank you! This is a really cool mod that has so much potential. You are doing an amazing job. I do have one last question though. What is the best way to lift the turntable to put it into place? I tried the lumberjack mod and I can lift the trains, but not the turntable.
Great to hear! glad you got it. Sorry for the delayed response, I have been sick and am in the final stages of preparing for my wedding next month haha. But yes, mzaliac14 is correct, you can change the settings on the lumberjack mod to increase the weight limit to infinite, then you can lift them all!
Turn the building snap off and place the concrete crossing on the top of the rail, then it will line up perfectly with the rail and be at the exact right height
so if I put engines together to make a long train,is just the lead engine doing all the pulling or are they all kinda helping? Also this is the greatest mod of all time for fs22. Hands down👍🏼🤣
Thank you! currently, only the lead locomotive is contributing to pulling power. I am working on a way to make it so that all locomotives contribute to pulling power when connected, but i have not figured that out yet

I think modder named: 'kenny456' on modhub made a mod for towing chain where you can attach multiple vehicles and all of them contribute to pulling power. Maybe he can help in figuring out how to do that if you ask him.
yes I have been experimenting with the towing chain, I was able to get it to connect 2 locomotives and have them both pull, butt it was somehow less power than just a single locomotive.. I’m sick right now so I’m not getting a whole lot done, butt at some point I’ll get back to experimenting with this. Maybe I’ll reach out to him also like you said!
Great mod the only issue im having is that when im laying curve track I cant get them to line up at all straight track is no problem but any curve track wont line up right any suggestions

Howdy, Yes it seems that the model that I used with bricks was too detailed for many peoples computer. I will redo it with some much more simple concrete for the next update!
Thanks. the problem i had was it wouldn't seat all the way down.. i kinda just forced it down eventually. the turning works really well.. the placeable base is great, however some may have issues on maps with low laying ground.. first place i put it the bowl ended up filling with water. kinda looked cool.

Okay I will check it! and the yard spawner is something that I am working on, it doesnt work great quite yet, but if you stand over on the side where the white boxes are, and line yourself up parallel with the tracks, then hit the store delivery, it kinda spawns railcars and locos on the tracks. Not great yet, but somebody requested that I still include it so I did hah
Could you add a placeable wye? I've been trying so hard to make a wye, but I can't get it to work. Could you also add a diamond, so the tracks can cross without using a bridge?
have you thought about making a triangle track peace or junction ive tried to make them with the tracks there are but either they wont line up or I get it and it bugs the train out
I actually have a turntable in the works right now that will be included in the next update! I might include a wye as well at some point, but I think this turntable will do what youre looking for!
guess ill have to see but there mostly used to basically turn the train with freight cars together so that way the train doesn't get trapped in the yard
In your version before this current version, you had a small yard with the rerailer function, with a white dot and a white square to the left of no 1 road. This has now disappeared on the latest version. any chance we can get this back? It worked better that the current rerailer. This is a great mod. Please keep up the good work

Yes the switch model I made myself from 2 different tracks, the planks overlapping should not affect gameplay at all. Maybe at some point I will be able to correct that, but right now I have much more important and more fun things I want to include.

did you ever fix the flatinging of the left railyard because it flatted the right side and the bigger curves have flatting and i found 5 silos that will work for this every one

I have used the map object hider mod Map Objects Hider | ModHub | Farming Simulator (farming-simulator.com) by Achimobil to remove sections of in game track, then use my track to tie into it and that worked pretty well! Just stay clear of the in game train when it comes through...
If you go into the map that you are wanting to play and look in the xml files for the trainSystem.xml and just rename it to trainSystem_old.xml the game wont recognize it and the in game train wont run - but you still will get the in game train sounds so it sounds like a distant train is running and you wont have an in game train to worry about hitting you
Really appreciate your work man. Glad I found you! I have a question about RR's- there is a placeable crossing mod in '17 & '19 and I was wondering if you would be releasing anything similar for '22? There are a lot of people asking for it so I know it would be crazy popular. So many maps with tracks now and no way to create your own crossing over the existing tracks!! Either way, thank you for creating quality work. You're one of a very short list that I trust not to crash my game! -Chris
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! I do have a concrete crossing and 2 different kinds of crossing guards that are included in my pack, I do realize that the concrete is sometimes higher than the road it is crossing. On dirt roads I just adjust the road to slope up to it, as you would in real life. However on roads I see this could be a problem.. I will take a look at it and see what I can do about reworking my crossing!

Hello, Yes I made a mistake in this version and deleted the wrong items and the wrong items in the modDesc. This will all be fixed in the update this weekend!

You've creatyed something amazing here and it can only get better as time passes. Just an idea for an addition. What about some street running road sections. Would that be possible? Also on a different note any possibility of some leaser paint jobs on locos and rail cars?

Awesome. With regards to leasers as you said CiT, theres also GMTX, FURX and HLCX that immediately come to mind but theres plenty more. Looking forward to you track with inclines as the map I want to enhance the now is very "lumpy" and flat is just not a thing. I hope the contribution I sent helps out some :)
Those are all great options for leasers! I will see what I can do about getting them added. I also want to do heritage units. And the track with inclines, declines and track that is placed as a fence is all available! it is in the latest update. I have been just using in game silos and sell points, just place them over the track and it seems to work great! I dont think I will plan on adding specific track with silos and sell points due to that working so well. Unless I decide to do a large complex at some point

One map I play is Hagenstadt. Could see where the tracks could be replaced and the tunnels be able to "teleport" the trains to the other track and build from there. If a person could own the mill and distribute from there. A much needed mod you have in the works, can't wait to see it evolve.
hey idea for update can you please make shorter track like 1 5 10 pluse a fill and dump track maybe a silo for the train and a siding strech i know i have the track parts but with out shorter track it is hard to make it work thank you for this mods really enjoying it

Yes you can tie into the in-game tracks, just use the Map Object Hider mod to hide a section of the in game tracks, then place a placeable switch, then use the straight sections of track to tie back into the in-game tracks. Just watch out that youre not on the mainline when the in game train comes thru!

the switches are switching back to though line halfway onto the siding. is there a way to stop it? really could use some help on this

I would suggest toggling the snapping mode off while placing curves, that allows you to line them up perfectly!

I would suggest turning the building snap mod to 0m when you are placing corners, this will allow you to line up the track perfect!

Hey.. is there a trick to seating the turntable into the base? every time ive tried it sits about 3 foot higher than the platform.
Forcing it down seems to work.. but think it was more luck than anything else.

i had to set up a new spot for it to work now im gettin it to level out but not spin
To turn it, get in it at the shed on the turntable and simple turn left or right as if you were steering a truck!

if you use developer controls, you can press F5 to show the collisions. The square at the bottom should go inside a square on the base.

Really appreciate your work man. Glad I found you! I have a question about RR's- there is a placeable crossing mod in '17 & '19 and I was wondering if you would be releasing anything similar for '22? There are a lot of people asking for it so I know it would be crazy popular. So many maps with tracks now and no way to create your own crossing over the existing tracks!! Either way, thank you for creating quality work. You're one of a very short list that I trust not to crash my game! -Chris
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! I do have a concrete crossing and 2 different kinds of crossing guards that are included in my pack, I do realize that the concrete is sometimes higher than the road it is crossing. On dirt roads I just adjust the road to slope up to it, as you would in real life. However on roads I see this could be a problem.. I will take a look at it and see what I can do about reworking my crossing!

Hello, Yes I made a mistake in this version and deleted the wrong items and the wrong items in the modDesc. This will all be fixed in the update this weekend!

EDITED: Checked my mod list and now there are two versions of the placeable railroad v1.2.0.0 and v 1.2.0.3? so I also checked the older version and now the platform is showing...Strange

You've creatyed something amazing here and it can only get better as time passes. Just an idea for an addition. What about some street running road sections. Would that be possible? Also on a different note any possibility of some leaser paint jobs on locos and rail cars?

Awesome. With regards to leasers as you said CiT, theres also GMTX, FURX and HLCX that immediately come to mind but theres plenty more. Looking forward to you track with inclines as the map I want to enhance the now is very "lumpy" and flat is just not a thing. I hope the contribution I sent helps out some :)
Those are all great options for leasers! I will see what I can do about getting them added. I also want to do heritage units. And the track with inclines, declines and track that is placed as a fence is all available! it is in the latest update. Is it possible to add a track with a Silo to fill/empty grain cars ? (Maybe connected to another silo to load/unload it using truck/tractor ?)

I have been just using in game silos and sell points, just place them over the track and it seems to work great! I dont think I will plan on adding specific track with silos and sell points due to that working so well. Unless I decide to do a large complex at some point
I dont have a discord page, I usually post on FB in Expendables, Custom Modding and a couple others with updates. Suggestions are welcome anywhere! whether my itch page, facebook posts or whatever
One map I play is Hagenstadt. Could see where the tracks could be replaced and the tunnels be able to "teleport" the trains to the other track and build from there. If a person could own the mill and distribute from there. A much needed mod you have in the works, can't wait to see it evolve.

hey idea for update can you please make shorter track like 1 5 10 pluse a fill and dump track maybe a silo for the train and a siding strech i know i have the track parts but with out shorter track it is hard to make it work thank you for this mods really enjoying it

Yes you can tie into the in-game tracks, just use the Map Object Hider mod to hide a section of the in game tracks, then place a placeable switch, then use the straight sections of track to tie back into the in-game tracks. Just watch out that youre not on the mainline when the in game train comes thru!
